About Us

We are a small family run business, based just outside of Lewes in Sussex. I have loved candles, incense and all things scented since I was a teenager and was always buying and trying new things as I found that the scents and the atmosphere created really affected my mood. Through the years I have found they help me mentally as well as certain smells being able to evoke strong memories. A refreshing candle when I am feeling tired or a relaxing scent when feeling stressed has always been my go to. *There is actually some science behind this, if you are interested in that kind of thing you can find more information at the bottom of the page.

I found however that the cheaper products weren’t always great value as their smell would be disappointing, also some luxury brands look amazing but again the scent lets them down. In recent years we have also struggled as being very conscious of the planet it became more important to find products that align with our values. Firstly that they of course smell amazing but also look great, have the planet in mind, are vegan and cruelty free and are affordable. On top of this my other passion is music, just like with scents I find that the right song can instantly affect my mood and again so many songs are associated with certain times in our lives that the first few bars can take us straight back there. This is why we thought it would be fun to combine the two loves, scents and music so our products are themed where instead of the usual boring scent names we have named them with a lyrical twist. The names are only a bit of fun and are not associated with any song or artist but we have loved trying to match up the names and to theme our gifts to hopefully help you create and evoke some lovely memories too. After a long time researching, testing and creating, we have produced our beautiful handmade and premium products that don’t cost the earth but most importantly... don’t cost the planet. The Science!

*It has been shown the science between smells and memories are closely linked as smells are processed differently in the brain

compared to other senses. There are direct connections between the olfactory bulb which processes smells and the areas of the brain that are implicated in emotion and memories which can mean memories triggered by scent are more vivid. The science behind the relationship between music and memory also shows that music enhances memory consolidation by activating brain regions associated with memory and emotional processing and that listening to certain songs can elicit specific memories and often your favourite songs and music can be associated with significant personal events and can trigger memories.
